Ed Noey

Ed Noey, age 73 of Marquez, Texas, passed away January 19, 2018 in Mexia, Texas. Funeral services have been scheduled for 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Marquez Baptist Church in Marquez, Texas. Rev. Charlie Robinson and Bro. Lee Weiler will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Winn Cemetery outside of Marquez on south FM 3. A public visitation will take place Monday, January 22nd from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.

Terry “Ed” Noey was born on December 8, 1944 in Marquez, Texas to Oscar & Freddie (Stokley) Noey. He was a lifelong resident of Leon County and worked as a rancher. Ed enjoyed taking care of his cattle, and he enjoyed his tractors. He loved blessing people in a good way and was always giving his opinion, whether warranted or not. Ed loved his large family, and there was always plenty of his love to go around, from the oldest child to the youngest great grandchild, and everyone in between! He will be greatly missed, not only by his family, but by his whole community.

Ed was preceded in death by both of his parents; first wife, Lorine Noey; brother, Howard Noey and great niece, Ami Baker. Surviving family members are wife, Stynette Noey of Marquez; sons, Steve (Lisa) Noey of Marquez and Shane Noey & fiancée, Deborah Buchanan of Marquez; daughter, Dondi (JoJo) Harris of Marquez; brothers, Leo, John & Vivian Noey, all of Marquez and sisters, Fredaleen Madden & Beverly Sue Baker, both of Marquez. Ed is also survived by grandchildren, Laci (Paul) Adams, Rowdi Harris, Shelby (Kraig) Bates, Derrick (Krystal) Noey, Will (Brittany) Mahaffey, Seth (Karie) Noey, Seth (Ashtyn) Mahaffey, Tate (Brice) Jarzombek, Drew Mahaffey & Kaissa Noey; great grandchildren, Dakota “Turbo” Adams, Bodee Adams, Zaelynn Bates, Presley Noey, Payson Noey, Caiden Mahaffey, Deyton Noey & Dakota Noey and numerous extended family members & friends.

Pallbearers: Steve Noey, Shane Noey, Elmer Sanders, Casey Martin, Paul Adams & Jim Noey.

Honorary Pallbearers: Terry Noey, Louie Reagan, J.R. Winstead, Roy Copeland, Bobby Liner & James Spurling.
