Dorothy June O'Bannon

Funeral services for Dorothy O’Bannon, 79, of Merkel, Texas will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, February 12, 2022 at New Salem Cemetery in the Centerview Community of Leon County, Texas. Interment will follow in New Salem Cemetery. A public visitation will be held Saturday from 12:30 P.M. to service time at the chapel.

Dorothy June O’Bannon was born November 11, 1942 in Centerville, Texas, the daughter of Otis & Dorothy Marie (Damon) O’Bannon. She passed away February 3, 2022 in Abilene, Texas. Dorothy was preceded in death by both of her parents and is survived by daughter, Donna J. Deaton of Merkel; sisters, Betty O’Bannon of Quinlan and Connie O’Bannon of Abilene; grandchildren, Joshua Deaton (Brandi Wilson) of Merkel, Jeremy Deaton of Merkel and Jamie Daley (Patrick), as well as great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Winchester, Briley Deaton, Annabella Deaton, Harley Deaton and McKinzie Ward.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
