Donald Allen Walters, of Centerville, Texas, was born March 13, 1938 in Spring and passed away at age 82, on October 21, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan, Texas. Don, like many others during this time, succumbed to COVID-19 after a lengthy struggle with complications related to replacement of a pacemaker, and then a broken hip and hip replacement.
Don is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Mary John Pinkston Walters; daughter, Brenda Kay Walters Stein and husband, Richard “Bryant” of Spring; sons, Scott O’Neil Walters and wife, Angie Marie of Splendora, Randall Allen Walters of Willis; and sister, Joyce Lynn Walters Marsh of Huntsville. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Sue Pinkston Nason of Nacogdoches; seven grandchildren; thirteen great- grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.
Don’s work took Mary and the children to far and away places--Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and many places in between creating unforgettable memories for all.
The family chose March 13th to honor Don because it was his birthday, as well as his daughter, Brenda’s; great-granddaughter, Brayleigh’s; and sister-in-law, Sue’s birthdays.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Walters Funeral Home, 610 S Commerce St., Centerville, Texas 75833.
A reception will follow the memorial service at the Walters' Residence which is approximately four miles east of Centerville at 3744 State Highway 7 East, Centerville, Texas 75833.
