Delois Horn Gould

Homegoing services for Mrs. Delois Horn Gould, age 86, will be held 12 noon, Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Interment will follow in Centerville Community Cemetery.

Mrs. Delois Horn Gould was born January 1, 1933, in Centerville, Texas to the parentage of Jay Horn and Lucy Lacey Horn. Delois was the second born of five children.

Delois’ education was with the Centerville School District. She worked at Texas A&M for over 25 years, and retired early in life. After graduation she met and married Billy Carl Gould, Sr.
Mrs. Gould was a lover of all people, she treated everyone with love, kindness and respect. She was like the neighborhood Mom, all of our friends loved and adored our Mother, which was a true testament of the kind of woman she truly was.

Mrs. Gould loved God first, family second, and friends to follow. She was married to Carl Gould, Sr. for 62 years and we could not have prayed for better parents.

Mrs. Gould is preceded in death by: her parents Jay and Lucy Horn, her siblings Cleo Horn, Laura Horn Middleton, and Ruthie Marie Smith, John “JC” Horn, and Jimmie Horn. Two grand-daughters Lacey C. Gould and Margo Delois Gould.

She leaves her loved ones to cherish her memories: husband, Carl Gould, Sr., five children: Brenda Delois Tabor, Dwight Gould (Pamela), Billy Carl Gould, Jr., Lynette Gould and Nicole Gould, grandchildren, MaKelvin Tabor (Nashika), Monica Tabor Williams (Milton), Billy Gould, III, Jacoby Woodard, Jalyn Woodard and Jazzlyn Woodard, her great-grandchildren: Bryan C. Tennyson, Nahlia Tabor, Jade Woodard, Jaxon Woodard, Jayden Gould, XiKree Neal and Sarai Neal; her sister, Fannie M. Horn, and a dear friend, Annette Warren. She also leaves a host of devoted nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
