Funeral services for DeLois Douthitt McLain, age 87, will be held 2 P.M. Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Flynn United Methodist Church in Flynn, Texas. Rev. Mark McClanahan will officiate the service, and interment will be in the Douthitt Cemetery.
DeLois Douthitt McLain was born November 18, 1931 in Flynn, Texas to Briston D. & Vermelle (Petty) Douthitt. She worked as a secretary for a manufacturing company. Mrs. McLain lived most of her life in Pearland and was a member of Garden Villas Methodist Church in Houston.
Mrs. McLain enjoyed playing Bridge and travelling worldwide. She was a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, and her family was especially important to her.
Mrs. McLain passed away October 23, 2019 in Friendswood. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Edward William “Red” McLain, Jr.; brothers, James “Stubby” and Hampton Douthitt and sister, Louise Broussard.
Surviving family members include son, Cliff McLain of Flynn; daughter, Ginger Honeycutt (Richard) of Flynn; brother, Cameron Douthitt of Colorado; sister, Donna Jones of Warda; grandchildren, James & John (Lynn) McLain, Jason (Lauren), Jared (Vanessa) & Jake Honeycutt and Jena (Sebastian) Göbel and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Jaxton, Jantzen, Audrey, Alena, Sophie, Caroline, Mara, Markus, Olivia, Lucas & Elise, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
