Deborah Denise Hill

Deborah Denise Hill, age 68, of Streetman, Texas, passed away peacefully June 28, 2022 in Tyler, Texas.

She was born January 27, 1954 in Houston, Texas to Ray & Nelgene (Crumwell) Simpson and was a graduate of Klein High School. Deborah married Melvin Hill, Sr. December 7, 1977 and they raised their family in the Spring, Texas area where Deborah worked for Harris County. Deborah and Melvin later moved to Streetman where they had made their home for the past twelve years.

Deborah enjoyed fishing, quilting and traveling. She especially enjoyed going to Florida every year to see the Blue Angels. She also liked taking care of her flower gardens and loved puppies and cats. Deborah was baptized October 7, 2018 and was a faithful member of Judson Baptist Church near Cayuga, Texas.

Deborah was preceded in death by both of her parents; sister, Schrene Theiss; brother, Michael Simpson and infant brother, Baby Gene, as well as a grandson, Melvin Cole Hill.
Surviving family members include husband of nearly forty-five years, Melvin Hill, Sr. of Streetman; sons, Brad Hill of Waller and Melvin Hill, Jr. & wife, Heather, of Magnolia and grandchildren, Ashley, Madison, Weston & Wyatt Hill. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many friends who were like family to Deborah.

Funeral services for Deborah will be held 10 A.M., Friday, July 1, 2022 at Judson Baptist Church. Rev. Edwin Bowman, pastor of the church, will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery, Concord, Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
