Deborah Denise Brent

Funeral services for Deborah Brent, 57, of Centerville, Texas, will be held at 3 P.M., Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville. Bro. Jim Bob Gunnels will officiate the service, and interment will be in the New Salem Cemetery, east of Centerville in the Centerview Community. A public visitation will take place from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M., Friday, October 6th at the funeral home.

Deborah Denise Brent was born on October 15, 1959, in Pineville, Louisiana to Calvin Ray and Virginia (Pace) Gray. She had worked as a waitress at the Town Café in Centerville for the past twenty years until her health began to fail. This, however, provided Deborah with some much needed time to spend with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Family was extremely important to Deborah, and she had a large one. She always made sure that each member always knew how much they were loved. Deborah had lived in Centerville for the past twenty-four years, coming from Willis. She passed away in Bryan, Texas on October 4, 2017.

Deborah was preceded in death by her father, Calvin Gray. She is survived by mother, Virginia Gray of Willis; husband, Jerry Brent, Sr. of Centerville; sons, Jerry (Terria) Brent, Jr. of Centerville, Joe (Stacy) Brent of Jewett, Jeffery (Kristin) Brent of Troy, MO and Stephen (Jo Beth) Brent of Centerville; daughters, Amanda (Jeff) Hill of Centerville and Valarie Brent of Centerville; brothers, Dennis Gray of Dry Prong, LA, David (Donna) Gray of New Waverly and Dean (Rhonda) Gray of New Waverly and sisters, Dorothy (Cowboy) Landaverde of Willis and Delana (Wade) Wolf of Zug, Switzerland. Deborah is also survived by her grandchildren, Dillan Brent, Kaylee Marie Brent, Casey Renea Brent, Kyla Brent, Kassidy Johnson, Jocelyn Johnson, Madison Brent, Averi Brent, Blaine Brent, Meagan Hill, Makayla Hill, Jayden Hill, Jordyn Hill, Mason Brent, Aubrey Brent, Carter Brent, Brady Crouch, Reagan Crouch, Lexi Brent, Lana Brent, Liberty Brent, Logan Brent, Adyson Pyle, Adylyn Pyle and Weston Pyle and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Walters Funeral Home in Centerville is in charge of all arrangements.
