Darrell Lynn Grayson, 33, the fishing daddy, rib-lover and Dallas Cowboys fanatic quietly passed away on Friday, May 1st while taking a nap prior to a fishing trip.
Darrell was born October 8, 1986, in Seagoville, Texas and raised both in Centerville, Texas and Dallas, Texas. He was a true cowboy at heart. Darrell attended MacArthur High School where he met his one and true love, Yolanda Chavez, in 2002. He married his high school sweetheart in 2005 and quickly grew a family.
He was a hard-working man, who always sought out to ensure his family had the necessities they needed. When not working and during football season, Darrell was most often found watching the Cowboys games, drinking a few cold ones and grilling out for the family. He also enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his one and only, Princess Elly.
Darrell is survived by his mother, Rhonda Grayson; brother, Mario Dixon; sisters, Ashley Grayson and Michelle Grayson. He is also survived by his wife, Yolanda Grayson (33), sons, Evian Lynn Grayson (16), Darrell Lynn Grayson, Jr. (15) and Jeremiah Lynn Grayson (13) and his princess daughter, Ellyce Lynn Grayson (7).
In Heaven, Darrell has joined his father, Zeb “Ricky” Scott, Jr. and his best friend’s father-in-law, Ricardo Hernandez.
Homegoing graveside services for Darrell will be held 3 P.M., Friday, May 8, 2020, at Pleasant Springs Cemetery in the Pleasant Springs Community of Leon County. A visitation will take place at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, any memorials may be gifted to Yolanda Grayson and their four children.
Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas is entrusted with final arrangements.
