Graveside funeral services for Danny Kaye Lee, 62, of Centerville are set for Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the Centerville Cemetery at 11 am. A visitation will be held at Walters Funeral Home before the service from 9:45 am until 10:45 am. Ren Watkins will officiate.
Danny K. Lee was born March the 25,1956 in Baytown, Texas. He passed away on February 23, 2019 in Bryan, Texas.
Danny was a welder, tile layer, carpenter and worked both residential and refinery construction in the Houston and Bryan area. He enjoyed making “yard art” and using it to decorate for the various holidays. He also enjoyed fishing and boating. When he was younger, he played in several small bands with friends. He was a big fan of the singer, Rod Stewart. Although he had no children, he was an uncle to two generations of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Ann (Carroll) Thane, all of his grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles. Surviving family includes his father, Alvin Thane of Centerville; a brother, Bobby Eckhoff (Patti) of Centerville; three sisters, Susie Hill (Allen), Laurie Ferguson (Steve) and Lana Nicholson all of Centerville and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his little “fur buddy”, Penny the chihuahua who meant so much to him.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville.
