Curtis Ray Hall

Funeral services for Curtis Hall, age 72, of Centerville, will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 1 P.M. at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville. Stuart Carter and Ralph Carter will officiate the service, and interment will follow in the New Salem Cemetery in the Centerview Community of Leon County. Visitation will take place from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Friday, June 8th at the funeral home.

Curtis Ray Hall was born July 16, 1945 in Madisonville, Texas. His parents were Marvin Theodore and Ruth (Haire) Hall. He had worked for R Construction in Buffalo as a truck driver and later, crew leader. For the past two years, Curtis had enjoyed a life of leisure, working on his tractors when he pleased, checking on the cows, watching cartoons on television and spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren. Curtis was a family man and always supportive of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He and his wife attended as many of their events as they were able. Curtis spent some of his last days enjoying the company of his grandchildren; making them breakfast, working in the garage and sharing many good laughs with each other. He had lived in Centerville since 1986, coming from Stafford, and was a member of the Mt. Tabor Church of Christ in Madison County.

Curtis passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at his home. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; sisters, Grace Henry, Faye Simes, Shirley Vicknair & Bobbie Shiflet and brothers, Alton, George & Travis Hall. Surviving family members include wife of nearly forty-five years, Darlene (Blake) Hall of Centerville; children, Robert Hall of Bedias and Tina Carter & husband, Stuart, of Centerville; sister, Juanell Crocker of Cleveland; grandchildren, Ashley Welch of North Zulch, Christina Garcia of Tomball, Luke Carter of Centerville & Landri Carter of Centerville and great grandchildren, Jordin & Brodee Welch of North Zulch, Harley Hall of Bryan, Stormy Hall of Bryan and Molly Hall of Bedias.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Texas Children's Home, 13200 Crane Road, Buda, Texas 78610 or Ronald McDonald House, 1907 Holcomb Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030.

Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas is in charge of all arrangements.
