Clifford Ray Aubrey

Funeral services for Clifford Ray Aubrey, 53, of Leona, will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Chaplain Gerald Saffel will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Centerville Cemetery. A brief visitation will take place from 10 A.M. to service time Sunday, May 26th at the funeral home.

Clifford Ray Aubrey was born January 11, 1966 in Paris, Texas to parents, William Ray Aubrey and Patsy Sue (Lynch) Curtis. He had lived in Leon County since 2004, coming from Dallas. Clifford married Rebecca Pate February 18, 2006, and they shared thirteen wonderful years as man and wife. He was non-denominational in faith and had attended Tri-Circle Ranch and River of Life Churches.

Clifford’s absolute favorite past time was fishing. Anywhere from small ponds or local rivers to large lakes and deep sea fishing, Clifford loved it all and fished whenever he could. He especially looked forward to his yearly guided fishing trip on Richland Chambers Lake every May and was able to make it one last time the week before his passing.

Clifford passed away May 21, 2019 in Houston, Texas following a brief battle with melanoma. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; sister, Peggy Neal; brother, Johnny Norton and step-brother, Greg Neely.

Surviving family members include wife, Rebecca Aubrey; step-son, Clyde Fisher, III; step-daughters, Jennifer Nicar Howard (Doug) & Carrie Fisher; brothers, Billy Neely, Lonnie Taylor, Roger Aubrey & Roy Aubrey; sisters, Tammy Aubrey, Vickie Aubrey, Patsy Erven, Bobbie Neely, Vickie Neely & Patricia Taladino and step-sister, Pamela King. Clifford is also survived by step-grandchildren, Brett, Jackson, Adie, J.T., Gavin, Emma, Camden, Myasia, Michael & Myrakle; “spiritual mom & dad,” Lucy & Steve Griffith, as well as, numerous nieces & nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
