Claudia Joan Mueller

Claudia Joan (Hickman) Mueller, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on June 20, 2021 in Spring, Texas. Claudia was born on September 3, 1938, the eldest of four daughters to Albert J and Dorothea (Tabor) Hickman, Jr in Houston, Texas. Claudia was a 1956 graduate of Spring Branch High School, Houston, Texas. She was married to the late George L Mueller for over 50 years. After raising three sons, Claudia was trained and worked as a draftsman, retiring from AMOCO after 20 years. She enjoyed being a member of the churches that she attended in upstate New York, Southern New Jersey and Texas. She also loved gardening and especially her many beloved animals. Claudia and her husband George lived in Centerville, Texas for the last 14 years and were active members of the Cowboy Church of Leon County.

Claudia was preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband, George L Mueller (December 4, 2020). She was also preceded in death by her sister Yvonne (Hickman) Smith.

Know as "Mammy" by all who loved her, Claudia is survived by her sons; G Dwight (Lori) Mueller, DDS of Beaufort, South Carolina, Col. Mark R (Cathy) Mueller of Yorktown, Virginia and Christopher J (Kelly) Mueller of La Porte, Texas, her grandchildren; Melissa Hodge, Kathrin Mueller, Gabby Mueller, Sarah Mueller, Katie Raney, Tim Lott, Andrew Mueller and Emily McDaniel, her great grandchildren; Nash Proud, Lincoln, Brody, Callahan and Meara Raney and Lennon McDaniel. Claudia is also survived by her sisters, Elaine (Hickman) Burkhart and Mary (Hickman) Karrer as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

A small graveside service will take place 11 A.M., Friday, July 16, 2021 at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, Houston, Texas. A celebration of Claudia's life will be held the following day at 11 A.M. at the Cowboy Church of Leon County, Centerville, Texas.
