Christopher Jay Horn

Christopher Jay Horn was born in Fairfield, Texas on December 20, 1966. His parents were Willie Rogers and Fannie Horn. He passed from this life on December 17, 2020, at the age of 53 years, at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas following a battle against cancer.

Christopher was a member of the St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Centerville. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1985 and worked in Security and P.I. work for a while. While living in Dallas, he worked for Boeing as an aircraft builder.

Through the years he would often visit Centerville and Leon County. He would hunt and fish and gather with friends and family for cookouts and get-togethers. There would be eating, domino games, teasing and laughing. Christopher would love being there.

His father, Willie Rogers, preceded him in death. Christopher is survived by his friends and loving family including his mother, Fannie Horn of Dallas; daughter, Christina Horn-Coleman (Leemanuel) of Dallas; two brothers, Willie Rogers, Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia and Donald Wayne Middleton of Houston; three sisters, Tina Rogers and Vanessa Horn both of Dallas and Hilda Riley of Houston; four godsons and one goddaughter.

Family members will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. A late afternoon visitation will be held at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville from 6 PM until 8 PM on Tuesday, December 22, 2020. A funeral service is scheduled at 12 Noon on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Centerville Community Cemetery, Hwy 75 North, Centerville.
