Charlie C.G. Klentz passed away on the evening of Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at his home in North Zulch. He was seventy years old. Memorial services are scheduled for 1:30 P.M., Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville, Texas.
Charlie George Klentz, Jr. was born on December 4, 1946 to Charlie George, Sr. & Lila (Woods) Klentz. C.G. was raised in Houston and worked for the Houston Fire Department at a very early age. He later worked as a truck driver for the remainder of his career and especially enjoyed hauling agricultural loads. C.G. loved being outdoors. Whether it was fishing, working on his land or taking care of his cattle, he enjoyed it all. C.G. had lived in the North Zulch area for nearly thirty years, coming from Houston, and he was a member of the Shady Acres Baptist Church in Houston.
C.G. was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Linda Klentz and an infant son, Ryan Alexander Klentz. Surviving family members include children, Chad Thorpe (Gina) of Colorado, Christie Shaw of Plantersville, Daryl Klentz (girlfriend, Jori Shelton) of North Zulch, Eric Klentz (Tisha) of The Woodlands and Taylor Vandusseldorp (Alex) of North Zulch; grandchildren, Talia, Logan, Grayson & Ona and brothers, Larry Klentz (Cheryl) and Alan Klentz (Rena) both of Houston. C. G. is also survived by numerous other relatives, extended family and friends.
Madisonville Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
