Charlene Byers

Graveside funeral services for Charlene (Russell) Byers, age 80, of Huntsville, Texas are set for 2 PM, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Madisonville Cemetery. Mrs. Byers passed away on May 9, 2017 in Houston.
Charlene Byers was born September 22, 1936 in Baytown, Texas to John Warner and Erma (Harrison) Russell. She grew up in Baytown and was always proud that she had been a member of the Lee Brigadiers Drum and Bugle Corps at the Robert E. Lee High School.
She lived most of her life in Huntsville and was a member of the First United Methodist Church there. In the 1970s, she took up painting and, for a while, she sold Mary Kay products. She greatly enjoyed traveling. She retired as an Industry Department Liaison for T.D.C. in 1989.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband, William Charles Byers and by her two sisters, Betty and Phyllis. She is survived by her son, John Byers.
