With great sadness, we announce the passing of Carmen Gonzalez Perez on August 2023. She was forty-four years old. Carmen was born October 4, 1978, to Lucas Gonzalez Gonzalez and Maria Luisa Perez Zamora (Finada) in Juchitlan Tasquillo, Hidalgo, Mexico. She moved to Texas, where she worked in Dallas, Texas, and then moved to Buffalo, Texas, where she made it her home. She loved everyone around her. Her infectious smile lit up the room. Carmen was a dearly loved mother, daughter, aunt, and niece. Her loving family and close friends will greatly miss her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucas Gonzalez Gonzalez and Maria Luisa Perez Zamora; and her sister, Seferina Trejo Perez.
Carmen is survived by her son, Jose Antonio Gonzalez Perez; brothers, Raymundo Trejo Perez and wife, Laura Gonzalez; sisters, Nancy Gauna, Josefina Trejo Perez and husband, Nato Reyes and Juliana Gonzalez Perez; brother, Francisco Gonzalez Perez and wife, Olga; and many nieces and nephews.
Rosary and Vigil will be Friday, September 15th, at 7:30 p.m., at Walters Funeral Home, 610 S. Commerce St. Centerville, TX 75833. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, September 16th, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Roman Catholic Church, 220 S. Merrill St. Buffalo, TX 75833. Service will be given by Father Morgan White. Carmen will be laid to rest in Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
