Carl Posey, Jr. was born in Texas City, Texas to Carl Posey, Sr. and Imogene (Cravey) Posey on April 28, 1953.
He lost his battle with cancer December 4, 2024, in Bryan, Texas.
He proudly served his country in the US Army as a Military Policeman.
He worked for Galveston County Police Department, Texas Department of Criminal Justice and various positions before retiring from Texas State Supported Living Center where he was Wood Shop Supervisor.
Carl was preceded in death by both parents; one sister, Nancy Kiker; one nephew, Randy Thomson; and one brother-in-law, Henry Alpha.
He is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Marilyn Alpha Posey of Robbins; son, Sam (Crystal) Posey of Robbins; step-daughter, Tammie (Keith) Ginsel of Marquez; step-daughter, Tara (Mark) Newsom of Hilltop Lakes; son, Michael of Georgia; four grandchildren, Karilyn (David) Miller of Bryan, Nicholas (Shelbi) Newsom of Marquez, Josie (Devin) Smith of Bryan and Clayton Posey of Robbins; three great-grandchildren, Adam, Landyn and Waylon Mae; one sister, Brenda (Bob) Beeler of Centerville; and one brother, Richard (Karen) Posey of Temple.
A memorial service honoring Carl's life will be held 2 P.M., Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Redland Baptist Church. Wesley Henson will officiate the service. A meal will immediately follow in the fellowship hall.
Final arrangements are under the direction and care of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
