Carl Joseph Humphreys, Jr., 38, was born on December 3, 1985, in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, to the proud parents, Carl Joseph Humphreys, Sr., and Wanda Fay (Laboy) Wittman. He departed this earth on June 17, 2024, leaving behind a legacy bathed in love and kindness. He was a heartfelt soul, dedicated to spreading joy and helping those around him as a skilled handyman.

Carl found solace in pursuits of fishing, hunting and shooting guns for sport where the tranquility of nature mirrored his own serene spirit. His devotion to family was unwavering, his love an unending wellspring. The community embraced him dearly, recognizing the warmth and generosity he brought to each encounter, a true testament to his character.

Residing in Centerville since 2019, after relocating from Conroe, he embedded himself in the fabric of his new community, stitching together friendships and memories that will endure through time. His presence, though no longer tangible, it lingers in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Carl's beloved wife, Erin Humphreys, stands as a testament to the depth of his love and strength of their bond. In honoring his life, we recognize the light he brought into the lives of those around him, a beacon that will never dim, even in his absence.

Carl is survived by both of his parents, Carl Humphreys, Sr. of Montgomery and Wanda Fay (Laboy) Witttman of Florida; wife, Erin (Burnett) Humphreys of Centerville; children, Kaili Humphreys of Florida, Patrick Humphreys of Florida, Macey Humphreys of Centerville and Madilynn Humphreys of Centerville; half-brother, Johnny Dates, IV; and sisters, Virginia Stevens of Montgomery and Ashley Benson of Montgomery; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

A memorial service to honor Carl's memory and celebrate his life will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the Cowboy Church of Leon County, Centerville, Texas. Pastor of the church, Tuffy Loftin, will officiate the service.Let us gather in unity to bid farewell with a celebration of life memorial to a man who graced us with his compassion, now watching over us from a place of eternal peace.
