Brenda Welch, age 67, of Centerville, Texas passed away in Bryan, Texas April 22, 2023. A funeral service honoring her life will be held 10 A.M., Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at New Salem Cemetery Chapel. Bro. Johnny Veretto will officiate the service. Brenda will be laid to rest in New Salem Cemetery. A time of visitation will take place from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.

Brenda Kay (Smith) Welch was born in Mineral Wells, Texas on September 20, 1955 to George & Sarah (Shubert) Smith. She was raised in Mineral Wells and had lived in Centerville for the past forty-four years. Brenda was the manager of the Red Onion in Leona, Texas at one time and managed and waitressed at the Town Cafe for over thirty years before her retirement.
Brenda enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as Bingo. She was an animal lover of every kind of animal. Brenda was also a humorous person, and enjoyed telling jokes and stories.
Brenda was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband of thirty-two years, Johnny Welch; sisters, Betty Reasoner, Bessie Anderson, Robbie Jett and Georgia Schultz; step-sisters, Dorothy Christmas and Bonnie Gonzales and step-brother, Albert Smith.
Surviving family members include children, Jennifer Bolton & husband, Billy and Derek Welch and wife, Kellie; sister, Judy Edison and grandchildren, Brittany Bolton, Tanner Welch and Ethan Welch, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Final arrangements are under the direction of Walters Family Funeral Homes, Centerville, Texas.
