Blanca Hilda Anzaldua

November 14, 1955 — January 3, 2019

Blanca Hilda Anzaldua was born November 14, 1955 in Edinburg, Texas and passed away January 3, 2019 in Bryan, Texas. She was the daughter of, and one of five children born to Jose Lupe Reyes & Josefina Guadalupe De Los Reyes.

Blanca was married to Oscar Jose Anzaldua. She retired as a pharmacy technician at CVS Pharmacy. Blanca was a diligent and hard worker. This strong work ethic continued into her home life, as well, where she was always busy doing one chore or another.

Blanca enjoyed being outdoors working in the flowerbeds or making sure the grass was cut short. She loved a bargain and was good at finding one. Blanca’s cooking is one of many things that her family will miss. She was an excellent cook and everyone in the family knew that she was the best at it. Desserts were Blanca’s specialty and she liked sending homemade pies to her husband’s coworker, Noal Ray Goolsby, on a regular basis. Blanca’s grandchildren were especially important to her. Spending time with them made her happy. Blanca will forever be remembered by her loved ones as a woman full of fight with a heart full of love for everyone.

Blanca was preceded in death by both of her parents and sister, Elva Anzaldua. She is survived by beloved husband, Oscar Jose Anzaldua; daughter & son-in-law, Joanna & Armando Hernandez; sisters, Orfelinda Vasquez (Jamie), Herlinda Ballin (Felipe) and Annie Zamarron (Oscar); adopted brother, Rene Rolando Reyes (Cindy Maya Reyes); brother-in-law, Jesse Anzaldua, Sr. and grandchildren, Joshua Andrew, Steven Pedro & Thomas Lee Hernandez.
