Billie Louise Tubb

Billie Louise (Alford) Tubb was born on July 4, 1930, in Bristol, Texas to George Washington & Teddy (Haught) Alford. She left to have a little talk with Jesus on May 9, 2017, in Corsicana, Texas. Affectionately known as Mama Billie by many of the people who knew and loved her, she personified Joy Unspeakable! She always had a ready smile and a song in her heart.

Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Elgin Louis Tubb; daughter, Sandra Louise (Tubb) Pierce; five brothers and three sisters. Four grandchildren, Kevin King, Ronny Heil, Joni Tubb and Sheila Fautt also awaited to greet her in heaven.

She is survived by one sister, Estelle Boeling; daughter, Cynthia Rose Miller (husband, Rudy) and two sons, Elgan Ray Tubb and Joe Don Tubb (wife, Debbie). She also leaves behind grandchildren, Deanna Abraham (husband, John), Bobby Ray Tubb, Joey Lee Tubb (wife, Tiffany), Tabitha Foster (husband, Craig), Angie King-Nosseir (husband, Gabe), Samantha Elom (friend, Bubba Griffin and Shelby Elom. Many great and great, great grandchildren will also miss Mama Billie.

Billie believed in Jesus as a young girl and was devoted to Him all of her life. She loved to go to church and was a long-time member of the Buffalo Church of God. She loved good hell-fire preaching and old-time gospel singing, both of which she would do herself when given the opportunity. Billie loved her family and inspired great devotion.

Funeral services will be held at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 3:00 P.M. Interment will follow in the New Salem Cemetery in the Centerview Community of Leon County. A public visitation will take place from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, May 12th at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be George Quinlan, Edward Tubb, Joey Tubb, Starlyn Elom, Joe Hamm and Parker Fautt.

Walters Funeral Home in Centerville is in charge of all arrangements.
