Funeral services for Beverly Manning, 74, of Centerville, Texas will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Dr. Keeny Dickenson, pastor of First Baptist Church, Crockett, Texas, will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Sherman Cemetery. A public visitation will take place Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the funeral home.

Beverly Lou Manning was born July 28, 1947 in Houston, Texas to parents, James Wilson & Lou Esther (Evans) Comer. She was raised in Houston and lived most of her life in Leon County. Beverly had worked in the healthcare and retail sales industries for most of her life. She had a natural green thumb and enjoyed working in her flowerbeds and watching the variety of insects that would come to pollinate the flowers. Beverly was extremely family oriented. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and would often be found talking about one or all of them and how proud she was of them. Beverly passed away September 24, 2021 in Tyler, Texas. She will be sorely missed.

Beverly was preceded in death by both of her parents; first husband, Bob Sherman; second husband, Craig Manning; grandson, Steven Alverson-Sherman; sisters-in-law, Bonnie & Analee; niece, “Niki” Hamilton and son-in-law, Michael Eddie Kendrick.

Surviving family includes son, Bobby Sherman of Centerville; daughters, Karen Kendrick of Crockett and Audra Sherman of Centerville; brothers, Buck Comer of Centerville and Dewayne Comer of Pearland; grandchildren, Heather Wilson (Michael) of Katy, Lauren Robertson (Ryan) of Palestine, Erin Kendrick of Crockett; Josh Carrigan of Centerville, Jeremy Carrigan (Michaela) of Centerville and Chelsea Stanford (Robert) of Centerville and great-grandchildren, Hudson, Canon, Scarlett, Jameson, Paislee, Steven, Jauslyn, Everett, Tyler, Audrey and Zoey. Beverly is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and extended family.

Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas is entrusted with arrangements.
