Bernice Helen Williams

Bernice Williams, 86, passed away June 7, 2020 in Houston, Texas. Graveside services will take place 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Lummus Cemetery in the Flo Community of Leon County. There will be no public visitation.

Bernice Helen Williams was born December 31, 1933 in Iola, Texas to Walter E. & Oleta (Harmon) Shiflet. She was raised in Iola and worked at various places throughout her life, including the Forestry Service, several public school cafeterias, Green’s Hardware and San Jacinto Cemetery. However, Bernice considered her most important job to the that of a wife and mother. Bernice was a talented canvas painter and also liked to quilt. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Wilson Williams; daughter, Eva Gay Williams; grandson, Eric Williams and daughters-in-law, Renee Randall & Nancy Randall.

Surviving family members include sons, Donnie Randall (Robin Eilers) of Huntington and Michael Randall; daughter, Kathi (Robert) Holtkamp of Houston; step-daughter, Terrisa Williams of Willis; sister, Shirley Manuel of California; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Honorary Pallbearers: Raymond Myer, Nathan Mooney, Eyan Wilkie, Brooklyn Mooney, Owen Robert Holtkamp, Ella Rose Holtkamp

Services are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas.
