Arthur Albert Trainer

October 7, 1945 — September 13, 2016

Arthur Trainer, 70, of Buffalo and formerly of Friendswood, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at his home in Buffalo. A celebration and sharing of his life will be held at 1 P.M., Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church in Buffalo. A public visitation will take place on Thursday, September 15th from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo.

Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Larsen, Nathan Larsen, Brad Larsen, Alan Fowler, Jack Helmcamp and Randy Helmcamp.

Arthur Albert Trainer was born on October 7, 1945 in Sonora, Texas to Wylie Matt & Hazel Marie (LaCoste) Trainer. At a young age, he served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. Arthur was the owner and operator of Online Machine Tool Company in Friendswood, Texas. He was a Quaker and a member of the Friendswood Friends Church. Arthur also pastored two Friends Churches. He loved football, basketball and just about any other sport. He was always at any sporting event involving his three children and two grandchildren. He also loved growing roses in his rose garden. Arthur was a volunteer for the Channelview Fire Department. He had lived in Buffalo for the past four and-a-half years.

Arthur was preceded in death by both of his parents; brother, Robert Trainer and step-father, Harold Creamer. Surviving family members include wife, Billie Trainer of Buffalo; daughters, Cindy Lorraine Larsen & husband, Brad, of Kingwood, Paula Kay Trainer of Buffalo and Jackie Renee Trainer of Bastrop and sister, Karen Helmcamp & husband, Jack, of Buffalo. Arthur is also survived by two grandchildren, Stephen & Nathan Larsen.

It was Arthurs desire to have a special fund initiated to help meet the future needs of his Downs Syndrome daughter, Paula. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Arthur Trainer Memorial Fund at http://www.gofundme.com/2xwv7fvj.

Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo is in charge of all arrangements.
