Annie Lee "Ann" Jackson

Annie Lee "Ann" (Reece) Jackson, 89, of Centerville, Texas passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 4, 2022 in the home of her daughter, Brenda, whom she had been living with for the past four years in Centerville, Texas. She was born on April 8, 1933 in Alto, Texas to John M. Reece and Susan (Oliver) Reece. Ann loved her family dearly. She enjoyed being outside raising her vegetable gardens and had a true talent for gardening. She always cooked the best chicken fried steak and baked the best lemon pie. Ann even took care of fifty-five head of cattle by herself until she reached the age of eighty-four. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Centerville, Texas.


Ann was preceded in death by both of her parents; first husband, James Maxie Hull, Jr.; second husband, L. M. Jackson; sons, Mitch Jackson and Jimmy Hull; and sister, Jerry Reece Blackmon. She is survived by her daughters, Delores Hull Ackley (Boddy) of Centerville, Texas and Brenda Jackson Robeson (Dale) of Centerville, Texas; grandchildren, Steven Robeson (Gloria), Jennifer Skipworth, John Ackley (Amy) and Charles Ackley; great-grandchildren, Amy, Alan, Lee, Jamy, Jeryn; great-great-grandson, Percy; brother, John Milton Reece (Sue) of Alto, Texas; favorite cow, Princess Wiggletail and numerous nieces and nephews.


A funeral service for Ann will take place at 12 Noon, Friday, December 9, 2022 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Bro. Dean Easterling and Larry Wayne Bell will officiate the service. Interment will follow at North Creek Cemetery. A brief visitation will take place Friday morning from 10 A.M. to service time at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Traditions Hospice of Crockett for all the care they provided.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Centerville Fire Department.


Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
