Anita Munoz

Anita Munoz (née Ruiz), aged 76, passed away on July 29, 2024, in Centerville, Texas. Born on February 29, 1948, in Houston, Texas, Anita was a beacon of love and generosity, cherished by all who knew her.

Anita dedicated her life to her family and her faith, serving as the secretary for St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Centerville, where she was also a devoted member. Her life was a testament to selfless giving and the joy of family gatherings, especially during holidays when she expressed her love through her exceptional cooking.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ramon Guadalupe Munoz; sons, Ramon (wife, Julie), Tiki (wife, Lynette), and Marcos; siblings, Carmen, Janie, Terry, Angelina, Roland, and Tony; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Leopolodo and Manuela Ruiz; her brother, Junior; and sister, Nellie.

Anita was a proud alumna of Reagan High School in Houston, Texas. Her hobbies included spending quality time with her family and friends, and worshiping her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 A.M., on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, located at 549 S. Commerce St., Centerville, Texas 75833, with Reverend Father Joseph Lourdusamy, Reverend Father Nolan Lowry, and with other priests of the Diocese of Tyler. A celebration of life will follow immediately after the mass in the church hall. The family would like to invite everyone to a public visitation from 9:15 A.M. until time of the Mass.
