Jeffie Neil Smith

Funeral services for Jeffie Smith, 92, of the Redland Community will be held 2 P.M., Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Bro. Tony Moye, pastor of First Baptist Church, Centerville, Texas, will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Centerville Cemetery. The public is invited to a visitation from 10 A.M. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Jeffie Neil (Posey) Smith was born May 18, 1928 in Redland, Texas to Jeff & Jewel (Neyland) Posey. She was raised and attended school in Redland. Upon high school graduation, Jeffie attended and received her teaching degree from the University of Houston. She married Glen Smith and they raised their two children in Pasadena, Texas. Jeffie retired as a Kindergarten teacher and she and Glen moved back to the Redland area where they both resided the remainder of their lives.

Jeffie passed away April 25, 2021 in Madisonville, Texas. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Glen Smith; brother, Arnold Posey and sisters, Ellen (Posey) Vilardo and Patricia (Posey) Schoen. Surviving family includes sons, Tyson & Troy Smith and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Pallbearers: Chad Sandel, Courtney Sandel, Joshua Norregaard, Jordan Norregaard, Walker Wall, Kutter Wall.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
