Geneva "Murline" Shoop

Funeral services for Murline Shoop, age 77 of Centerville, will be held at 10 A.M., Thursday, February 1, 2018, at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 at the Lehrer Memorial Cemetery just north of Garwood, Texas. Visitation will take place form 5 P.M. to 7 P.M., Wednesday, January 31st at the funeral home.

Geneva Murline Shoop was born January 26, 1941. She was the last of eleven children born to Henry Clay & Vira (Thompson) Williams. She worked as homemaker her whole life, always available to support her own large family. Murline enjoyed making dolls, completing large jigsaw puzzles and going to the Senior Center where she was able to visit and play various games. She also loved spending time with her family and was very proud of each one of them. Murline had lived in Centerville since 1991, coming from Garwood, and had attended the North Creek Baptist and Calvary Missionary Baptist Churches when she was able.

Murline passed away January 26, 2018 in Bryan, Texas. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Rex Allan Shoop; children, Linda Sheridan, Ricky Sheridan, Chester Sheridan, James Sheridan and Lonnie Shoop and siblings, Vernon, Thelma, Clay, Pauline, Elton, Delton, Bill, Sherman, O’Daniel & Johnny.

Surviving family members are children, Wayne Sheridan of Oakwood, Timmy Sheridan of Centerville and Farrah Shoop of Centerville; grandchildren, Courtney Wayne Sheridan, Misty Sheridan, Kristy Sheridan, Olivia Sheridan, Catherine Sheridan, Desirea Botard, James, Brandon, Rachel, Michael Sane III, Ethan Shoop, Haylee Shoop and Heaven Shoop and great grandchildren, Hunter Sheridan, Hailey Sheridan, Jade Odefey, Patrick Jackson, Kynleigh Reed & Joseph Popp. Murline is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Pallbearers: Michael Sane III, Courtney W. Sheridan, Wayne Sheridan, Steve Seward, Roger Maus, Tyler Lupole, Mark Williams, Mitchel Smith, David Machulka, Mike Ramsey and J.P. Krenek.

Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas is in charge of all arrangements.
