Donald Ray "Duck" Stroud

Funeral services for Donald Stroud, 64, of Centerville, will be held 2 P.M., Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas. Bro. Joe Langley will officiate the service. A brief visitation will take place prior to the service from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M.

Donald Ray “Duck” Stroud was born August 17, 1957 in Jacinto City, Texas to Jim & Ruth (Madden) Stroud. He made his living as a tool pusher in the oilfield industry and enjoyed carpentry, puzzles, gardening and traveling. Donald most cherished his family and loved them dearly. He had lived most of his life in Centerville and was a member of North Creek Baptist Church in the Nineveh Community of Leon County. Donald passed away February 24, 2022 in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his dog, "Little Buddy".

Surviving family members include wife, Joanne Stroud; children, Michelle Gray and Kevin Stroud; grandchildren, Matthew Gray, MaKayla & Ronnie Barnes and Skylar Rayanne Gray, as well as great-grandchildren, “Little Ronnie,” Malachi, Ellison and Judah Barnes.

Service arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home, Centerville, Texas.
